KETC | Living St. Louis | Hamiet Bluiett
From KETC, Living St. Louis Producer Margie Newman catches up with Hamiet Bluiett, a world-renown musician born in Brooklyn, Illinois. Bluiett began playing clarinet until he was tall enough to play the baritone saxophone. And in 1969 at age 29, he left St. Louis to move to New York City. There, his musical style evolved and he quickly became a legend—performing at Carnegie Hall. He has since moved back to St. Louis, but continues to perform internationally with some of the world's greatest artists.
